San carlo di tigliole (At)

The renovation of this building represented an exciting design challenge for our firm: meeting the client’s needs by creating four independent housing units without losing the typological characteristics of Piedmontese architecture. The internal layout of the spaces was carefully designed to meet modern functional requirements, while the exterior façades remain faithful to tradition, enriched with architectural details that highlight the building’s historical identity.

To comply with health and hygiene regulations, part of the floor structures had to be demolished; however, in this section of the building, the roof was left exposed, emphasizing the aesthetic impact of the wooden beams and preserving the charm of traditional rural Piedmontese architecture. The result is a balanced intervention in which modernity and tradition coexist harmoniously, giving the dwellings a unique and authentic character.
