Montafia (At)

In the Municipality of Montafia, we carried out the complete renovation of an old rural building, bringing to light its authentic character and the memory of the place. The project was guided by the desire to preserve and enhance the original elements that tell the story of the building, giving it new life without altering its identity.

From the very first inspections, it became clear that work was needed on some compromised structural components, such as the brick-vaulted floors, which had suffered irreparable damage. Their reconstruction was carried out in accordance with traditional construction methods, maintaining the architectural and material language typical of rural architecture in Piedmont.

The entire project was conceived as a dialogue between past and present, a balance between preservation and innovation, where every design choice aimed to restore the home’s original charm while making it functional and welcoming for contemporary needs.
